Jennifer Frost Writes

“We write to create the books that we would like to read, that haven’t yet been written—possibly.”—Joyce Carol Oates

I write stories.

Jennifer Frost

My fiction and poetry, sometimes inspired or underpinned by the dark origins of folk and fairy tales, infuses psychological realism with a subtly uncanny atmosphere. My character-driven pieces distill themes of longing and displacement, mapping the experiences of people haunted by their memories as they search for belonging.

Jennifer Frost completed her MFA in Creative Writing from Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles in 2025.
